Five More Great Tips To Lose 10 Pounds
There are probably thousands of weight loss tips all over the Internet that you could probably benefit from. One thing to keep in mind is that what works fast for one person may not work so great for you. There’s also a timing issue. In other words it may not be so much what you eat as when you eat it.
I chose these five tips because they work for me. They may not necessarily work for you. These are my tips along with the logic behind them:
Tip #1 – When you wake up, sip (not gulp) a glass of cold water. Why cold? Cold water forces your body to warm up by increasing it’s metabolism. To keep your body warm, your body needs fuel. It will get this fuel from the excess fat you have stored in your body. Water also helps to “lubricate” your body to prepare it for Tip #2.
Tip #2 – One thing I never mentioned above is that you should wake up early enough so that you can get at least 30 minutes of exercise after you had some cold water. Exercise on an empty stomach though. By doing some jumping jacks, rope skipping or other somewhat strenuous exercise as soon as you wake up, you are forcing your body to burn fat that is already stored in your body – rather than burning carbohydrates after you have eaten breakfast. These two tips alone will help you lose a lot of weight.
Tip #3 – This tip will depend on whether or not you suffer from excess stomach acid. If not, before you eat breakfast drink a tablespoon of apple cyder vinegar. You may find this tough to swallow, but the vinegar will help to break down your food faster so your body can absorb needed nutrients faster and more efficiently. The better you can metabolize your food, the less will be stored as fat. Make sense?
Tip #4 – Continuing on with breakfast, you should drink your tea or coffee black. Although coffee can affect how well you metabolize your food, the vinegar you took from Tip #3 should compensate for this. Black tea has health benefits that coffee does not. Although I tried black tea in the morning, I switched back to black coffee…with half a teaspoon of organic sugar…hey, I’m not perfect you know.
Tip #5 – Sip on cold water throughout the day. Rather than count my eight glasses of water, I fill up a plastic bottle with water and ice. I do this about 4 or 5 times a day. By continuously sipping cold water, body metabolism is at its peak and I never feel hungry because the water suppresses my hunger. I don’t need to snack and I am continuously hydrated.
