Six Easy Ways To Lose Weight – Part 1
Just because you’re reading this, it’s obvious that you want to lose weight. Losing weight is actually not as hard as keeping the weight off. Most people gain all their weight back once they reach their weight loss goal. They just can’t seem to shed their weight permanently. The main reason is that they are not concentrating on losing their bad habits. Shedding bad eating habits is one of the best ways to start your weight loss program.
Although changing your bad habits is one of the best ways to begin losing weight permanently, you must also start utilizing good healthy eating and exercise habits. There really is no short cut to long term health. Always take your health into consideration when starting any weight loss regimen. Believe it or not, although many people are very serious about losing weight, they tend to neglect their bodies needs affecting their health adversely.
In conjunction with maintaining a healthy lifestyle and changing your bad eating habits along the way, here are six other ways to help you lose some weight:
1. Eating Less is Easier When You Understand This:
Believe it or not the more you eat the hungrier you get. Once you get this through your mind and keep reminding yourself that if you eat, you will get hungrier faster. Yes, we all need to eat, but like anything else, the more we take into our bodies the more likely we are to become addicted. Like all addictions the first little while can be tough, but as the saying goes – “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” If you’re not as tough as you want to be and end up eating more than your fair share again, that’s ok. Try again. If it still doesn’t work…try again, and again…until you make it. Remember, it’s all a matter of attitude. Just keep reminding yourself that you really do want to lose weight.
Another thing to keep in mind is that changing your food types may make you feel like your eating less when in fact you aren’t. An example is changing 500 calories worth of potato chips for 500 calories worth of fruits & vegetables. I tried this and found myself unsatisfied at first, but got used to it quickly. I haven’t had potato chips now for 3 months, but eat more vegetables than ever before.
2. Using Your Mind to Help You Lose Weight
Your brain is very powerful and you need to use it more if you want to be successful with your weight loss program. Your state of mind is what will motivate you to lose weight. If you are not motivated enough to lose weight, then you won’t. Losing weight is easy to do. It’s just as easy not to lose weight.
The best way to lose 10 pounds is if you really want to. Your will power comes from how motivated you are. If you are willing to lose 10 pounds, it will be much easier to do. Sometimes, your will power is not motivating you enough. That’s ok too. All you need to do is give yourself a little time to prepare yourself mentally. Just remember that the more time you take to prepare yourself, the longer it will take to lose the weight. Any weight loss program you decide to undertake is a challenge and the more prepared you are the better. The key is to work at it everyday.
